COACH'S COMMENT - From Head Coach: Richard Sutton
New Assistant. As most of you know Adrian has decided to end his involvement with HASC. I would like to thank him for his involvement with the program during the time that I have been here. I am sure that you will all join me in extending your thanks for the service that he has provided. It is my pleasure to name Steven Hay as his replacement. I am excited by the prospect of Steven joining our club as he brings with him a lot of passion and commitment to swimming. Steven will assume a developmental role within the club focusing on the junior squads. The committee share my view that you will all enjoy getting to know Steven over the next few months. Summer Season. The summer season will start for all squads during the first week of term 4. Keep an eye on your letter boxes for information concerning days and times. All squads will be on a scheduled break during the September school holidays. Squad Name Changes. The Coaching Committee has been decided to change the name of the squads so that they more accurately reflect the performance focus of each squad. The entry criteria for the various squads will stay the same for the beginning of summer. Details of the name changes will accompany the summer season mail out due to come out in a couple of weeks. Central North Islands. I would like to encourage all members of the Competitive, Silver and Gold Squads to travel to this meet in Rotorua during Labour Weekend. For those of you interested accommodation needs to be booked now as there looks like there is a shortage of rooms over this weekend. |
