* Hamilton Club Achievement Certificate: Gold, silver and bronze stickers are awarded when target times are met in 25m, 50m & 100m Free, Breast and Back, 25m and 50m Fly and 100m Medley.
* Swimming Education NZ Challenge Certificates: Gold, silver and bronze levels in all stokes over a number of distances.
All times recorded at Club Nights and at carnivals qualify for the certificates. Certificates are issued to swimmers as they first qualify for a level. The swimmer returns the certificates for updating throughout the season.
A number of swimmers did not collect their updated certificates at prize giving. These can be collected from Karen Cowley at the Fun/Pizza Night and during training hours from the beginning of summer training. Please contact Karen Cowley (ph 856 2822) if you would like them before then.
Check the notice board when summer training starts for details about updating certificates.

Notice board: Please keep an eye on the notice board for notices and for carnival information. Meet entry forms, Club Night entry forms, race results, certificate and other Club information is all on the notice board. Meet entries need to be put (with entry fee) into the meet entry box below the notice board approximately one week before the entries close.

Blue Book: The Blue Book is an essential source of information concerning all swim meets, NZ swim club information and swimming rules. Published by the Swim Waikato Centre, it costs $5.00 and will be available from Gaye Chesham at Club Nights. Check the notice board to see when the Blue Book is available.
For Club Night or carnival queries contact one of the recording team: Jenny Lornie (ph 07 824 4804), Karen Cowley (ph 856 2822), Jane Magill (ph 847 7703).

Officials: All swim meets, including Club Nights, function with "parental" help. If you are not yet involved, there are plenty of opportunities for you to assist and your offer of help will be warmly received. All clubs are rostered as 'duty club' to cater for meets and we also need to provide meet officials. Please assist with providing food when we are the duty club, even if your child is not swimming. Jan Barr is the coordinator for duty club catering.
Officials are needed for; timekeeping, inspecting turns and strokes, starting and refereeing. Training is given and qualified officials receive badges recognising their level of qualification. Being an official is an excellent way to meet other parents, help swimmers and learn new skills. It's by far the best way to have fun at a swim meet (if you're not competing). Also, officials do not have to pay for entry to meets. Please contact Gaye Chesham (ph 856 2409) to volunteer.
Anyone wanting experience as team manager for swim meets should also contact Gaye Chesham or Jenny Lornie.

Officials Introduction / Refresher course:
A course for new and existing parent officials will be hels at 5:00pm Friday 8th October at the pool. Details will be posted on notice board or contact Jenny Lornie.

LOST PROPERTY
Any lost property is recorded in the Lost Property book, held beneath the counter in the Pool Shop. Lost property is kept in a locked storeroom at the Pool and all lost property will be available for inspection at Club Nights.
Please note that lost property will be displayed at the Fun Night on 20th September and Club Night 10th October and any of that property remaining will then be donated to charity.
