New Date for Working Bee at Club Pool
B ecause the contractors working at the club pool will not be completed by this coming weekend (29th September) we will have to postpone the working bee to the following weekend (6th October).
despite the delay we still anticipate being ready to go on time.  The delay has largely come about through some tasks having grown in size.
All we need to do is some gardening, cleaning of pool covers, sweeping out toilet and changing room areas and general tidy up.
Working bee goes from 9:00am to 12 noon.

Pool Progress Update
T he pool upgrade is progressing well.  The City Council's Consultant together with our pool committee, City Council themselves and the contractors undertaking the various works, have made the best value from the allocated funding for the pool upgrade.
Take the opportunity, when possible, to peer over the fence from Victoria Street and look for yourselves.  Don't forget to bring your sunglasses because the new paint work GLEAMS.
Not only does the facility look better, but much of the unseen stuff around the pool has been upgraded.  Things like the grandstand piling, framing, cladding and flooring.  New wiring and lighting to the downstairs toilet blocks have been done.
The boiler room / filter room areas have has significant works undertaken, ensuring that we maintain a safe, hygienic and warm environment for the pool users.  While this may not be obvious, it is and continues to be a very important part of the pool operation.
