Hamilton Spring Meet Series 2

 Officials and helpers required.

 It is the club's turn to organise the 2nd meet of the Spring series. 

The meet is to be held on 1 November 2008 at Waterworld Te Rapa.  The meet is made up of two sessions.  The first session consists of the Waikato Long Distance Champs with the 800m freestyle for both male and female being held.  The second session consists of 200m, 100m and 50m races for all strokes and age groups.

 Meet Director

I will not be meet director for this meet as I won't be available for the week leading up to and including the day of meet so I am attempting to obtain as many officials and helpers as I can before the Thursday 23 October 2008.

Mandy Elliot has kindly offered to deal with any matters in the week leading up to the meet with Barry Kidd being Meet Director on the day and Liz Agnew the Chief Referee. 

Helpers required

I realise the Club is not in the position to provide all the officials however I believe we can supply helpers for the following jobs:

• Food co-ordinator and helpers. (Margaret Barclay is also not available but will provide details of what is involved and ideas of what food is required)
• Raffle organiser and sellers.
• People to sell programmes and take spectators door charge.
• We need a photocopier for the control room.  If there is someone out there who is willing to lend us one that would be most appreciated.
• Someone to collate the medals for distribution.

 Officials

Again the club is not expected to provide an official for every position however, it is expected we provide as many as we can.  I am looking for the following positions:

• Starters
• Referees
• IOTs (inspector of turns for those who don’t what that means)
• Chief timekeeper plus an assistant
• Timekeepers
• House Manager
• AOD
• Runner (person to do the photocopying put results up etc)
• Marshalls
• Announcer
